ELLA REWETI
Ella is a Naarm based ceramicist making functional slipcast wares in her Preston studio. Inspired by architectural forms, particularly the corrugated profile so ubiquitous within the Australian industria vernacular, Ella has developed a range of stackable, interchangeable plaster moulds that inform her process. Different configurations of these moulds create the instantly recognisable profiles of Ella's Tilde collection of ceramics. Ella has also started experimenting with this form in new materials including recycled plastic and steel and is excited to see where these explorations take her next!
